Born: August 28, 1978, in Royal Oak, Michigan, USA.
Raised: Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, USA.
High School: Grosse Pointe South, Michigan, 1996.
Biography:
My Mother was a Ballet dancer/teacher and my Father was a Pilot for the Air National Guard. I have an older brother and a younger sister, both of whom also attended art school. I was raised just outside of Detroit, in the suburb of Grosse Pointe Farms, where I was fortunate enough to have had access to an excellent art program at a young age, prior to attending a University.
In 2003, I received my Bachelors degree in both Architecture and Art from the University of Michigan. After graduation I interned abroad in Rotterdam, NL, and traveled throughout Europe visiting cities and museums. Once back in the USA I worked as a carpenter for 2 years in the Dertoit area.
In 2006, I moved to Chicago for a job at the art & Design company Skyline Design. In 2007, I lost my job, but decided to press on and pursue my interests in painting. I'm now entering my 5th year of working in my Chicago studio, just got published in New American Paintings #89, and look forward to what the next year will bring.
